An Important Update About Your Wisephone
We reached out because our records indicate that your Wisephone does not currently have an active WiseOS subscription.
WiseOS will soon require an active subscription to continue using the Wisephone experience.
When Wisephone first launched, WiseOS was a much simpler platform. Since then, we've continued investing in the experience with regular software updates, security improvements, new features, app reviews, and the infrastructure required to keep your device safe and running reliably.
We know this is a significant change, especially for those who purchased their device when a subscription wasn't required.
That's why we're providing advance notice and a transition period.
What Does a WiseOS Subscription Include?
Your subscription helps support the continued development and operation of WiseOS, including:
Ongoing software updates to improve performance and reliability
Security protections to help keep your device safe
Carefully reviewed apps that align with Wisephone's mission of healthier technology
New features and improvements as WiseOS continues to evolve
Keep Your Wisephone Active
To continue using your Wisephone without interruption, activate a WiseOS subscription before enforcement begins.
What Happens If I Don't Subscribe?
Nothing changes immediately.
Here's what to expect if your subscription remains inactive:
Day 0 – September 2, 2026
Your Wisephone works normally.
You can continue using your Wisephone as you do today. We recommend activating your subscription as soon as possible.
Day 30 – October 2, 2026
Your device enters Setup-only mode.
After 30 days without an active subscription, your device will enter Setup-only mode.
Emergency calling and text messaging, where supported, will remain available.
You'll then have an additional 60 days to reactivate your subscription without a possible* reprovisioning fee.
Day 90 – December 1, 2026
Your device will be unenrolled from WiseOS.
Removed from our device management system
Factory reset
Returned to a standard Android state
Any data stored on the device will be deleted when it is factory reset.
Important: Back Up Your Data
If you have photos, contacts, messages, or other data stored on your Wisephone that you want to keep, please back it up before your device is unenrolled.
